if im good at skating would that mean i would learn snowboarding faster?

Most likely if your a good skater. I had one of my guy friends teach me how to skate and now i can snowboard without a problem! It only took me probably 20 minutes to catch on..Good luck!

The balance you have from skating will help you with snowboarding but just because you skate well doesn't mean you'll be good at snowboarding. They are completely different sports and I know some skaters that found snowboarding very difficult as they could never adapt to having their feet attached to the board.

usually skater pick up snowboarding pretty quick because skating street is much more difficult than snowboarding park. the only problem you might find is actually learning to ride but if you make it through the first 2 days you're good.

well i would say that but the problem is im good at snowboarding and then tried skating and i sucked at skating. they are a lot alike but my main problem was that my feet wernt attached to the board. other than that id be fine at skating. maybe your problem would be that your feet ARE attached to the board. if you can get past that youre probably golden

probably because you have the balance part down. it will also help with the "skating" part of snowboarding.

yum yeah i think...cuz...skatebording is same as snowboarding but on snowboarding...yur on snow! so...yeah....i think youll learn snowboarding faster..

they dont have that much in common, really. it might help a little bit but dont expect it to give you a big lead.
