I'm always home on the weekends instead of at the parties. I always feel lonely and i feel like im not as good of friends with my group as everyone else is in it. I am depressed and I have social anxiety, so it is very hard for me to put myself out there or feel like going out. Any advice?

1) my depression is NOT an excuse. you shudnt say stuff about things u dont know about.
2) i really do try and put forth effort but it feels like people just dont like me

i never went to movies or anywhere with my friends and i also feel the same way about most of the stuff i don't go out becuase i am not allowed and i do feel that i am not a good friend.
but i think you should just ask your friends " what they think of you"

Put forth the given and true effort after a bit of planing on your part.Your human precognitive abilities can enable you to see what you would like to do throughout the day and night regardless of the given circumstances. With so many different types of men and women everywhere,in every town or city, you can find friends and/or a mate if you try hard enough in simple yet outright manner...I to suffer from anxiety, but I do my best to go out with the few friends that I feel close to,just to keep from going stir crazy...Take care and have a good night...Sincerely,Tom Science 4.

take a dance or yoga class:
you meet new people and develop new skills
wear some makeup and treat yourself to a shopping spree one day: you will feel way more confident about your appearence
laugh a lot!!!! and smilee!!!
get a group of friends to meet up at the bowling alley, or go ice skating...tell them to invite others too
call someone you usually dont talk to
take risks!!
its just life so keep livingg because you dont have as much time as you think!

there is a lot more to being social than going to parties. take an interest and look for those that have similar ones. also, try not to be fooled by appearances. some people will look as if in control when in fact they are close to spazzing out.

Sounds like to me you feel so sorry for yourself you have cut your own throat and missing out on life.
Get back on the horse and fucntion like a normal human being. Depression and anxiety are just excuses for most people who lack self esteem.

The best thing for me has been to join a club or sport. You meet so many people. You'll always have stuff to do!

in all honesty, are you telling yourself that, or is others? because if its others you should do just the opposite. start listening to black metal, sleep in the day, party at night, etc. you're probably like me, you just dont feel like screwing with others because they arent as good as you.
