now I know its stereotyping...but I just can judge people by their names and their apperiance and personality. I know I'm stereotyping...but the stereotypes never have failed in my lifetime. Like for an example...all the girls name shauntae...seems to have the same type of style, personality and a similar apperiance. Like all people that can afford luxury cars and drives one...has class in them (except rappers and stuff....lol..that dont count). You kind of get what I'm trying to say...because It's alot to type. I'm tired of typing now...lol...

We make dozens of judgments every day. Someone approaches and we put them either into a "safe" or "not safe" category. Someone smiles at us and we immediately make a judgment call as to 'friendly type who smiles at everyone" vs. "I know him/her an either am or am not expected to talk to them." If we dont' know them, then we may categorize the smile as in "He (or she) was coming on to me!"

Stereotypes can be way off base though. My brother just got rid of his Cadillac and now has one of those hybrid vehicles, very pricey, he has a good job and gorgeous house but sometimes goes in the store dressed casual and you wouldn't know, to look at him, that he's got a good job.

I've had that experience at Dillards. I walk in dressed like I dress for work and those clerks are all over me, "Can I help you?" and "Did you see we have these new whatevers in?" but if I go in like I like to dress, casual, with no make-up then it's like I don't exist.

We judge others within five seconds of meeting
or seeing their picture! So yes, in a way you are right. Names are said to have an impact on personalities. For instance with boys, having the first letter start out with a J like John, Jack etcis said to be good. That they are perceived as being "strong."

There is a lot to be said for names, choices of cars (which I know nothing about) and body language. Sometimes generalizations are wrong while other times they describe a pattern in humans.

Yes... I guess so...

70% of the people asking questions in here are very much like you...

They get tired of typing... they cannot speak properly... they make spelling errors and ask stupid questions.
