I have no idea. I think a lot of Americans have this sort of cocky attitude for being the best. I come from a mix family. My mother is American, and my father is Canadian. So when ever I do go to visit my family in the states, they often tease me for being Canadian. I'm the only Canadian citizen out of my 5 siblings. So even my grandfather picks fun at the fact that I'm Canadian. There are disrespectful individuals everywhere, every country and every race. Just learn to ignore it and wait till they're educated enough to lose some of their ignorance.

Canada & Canadians are cool, eh? I guess cause most haven't traveled there. They believe what they see on tv and rarely think beyond a commerical. Lol!
Canadians served in WW2 with distinction.
I'm an American; I've studied a little history which frees me from an either or type of thinking. Here the media tells most people what to think/say/agree with.
Since most Americans haven't studied history, politics or geography, they are pretty clueless.
So when they hear "Canadians disagree with American policies" they think Canadians don't like us. They are locked into one type of thinking.
In a country that is supposed to have "freedom of speech," that doesn't mean we have "freedom to think!" There is a lot of pressure here to be fake/shallow, er I mean go along with what our President/King says.

I am not aware of the Americans who disrespect us, I am quite aware of how many Canadians disrespect the Americans though.
I think many Americans are not as ignorant as 'bighotload', especially if they suffer from Diabetes. One contribution by Frederick Grant Banting, a Canadian, was the discovery of Insulin. We will be waiting for 'bighotload' to "do something productive" when he gets an education and grows up.
As for Avril and Celine, 'bighotload', do you really think Cher and Lindsay Lohan are any better?

Actually it's not limited to Canadians. Americans generally disrepect all nations of the earth. Generally it's because they're afraid of everyone.

First off please don't generalize people. Some people in America hate Canada and some don't have an opinion and some like Canada. It's always the loud MINORITY that sets the stage for everyone else and never the quiet MAJORITY.

You want to believe that the USA hates Canada, don't you?
You want validation here, not an answer.

Dont set yourself up for a fall. I have never met one American that did not like Canada. Maybe you ran into some drunk idiot or immature *** that planted that seed. No such thing.
