My boyfriend and I are trying to have a baby and I am afraid that i am not pregnant. I am late but I dont have any signs of being pregnant. About a year ago I was pregnant and was sick everyday but i had an abortion because I wasn't ready. Two weeks ago I felt very sick, headaches, and slight abdominal pain but it all went away now. But all of a sudden for the past few days I am having an unbearable pain by my hip.

I have been to the doctor and all my test have come out neg but my period still haven't come yet. She told me to come back next month and to not have sex or protect myself but thats hard to do.I am wondering about getting a blood test will that be a more accurate reading. Where can I get that information?

Actually I dont want to get married I feel that its a wast of time and money. I am fine the way I am. You see people get married only to be together 1- whatever year then divorce. I plan on being commited to my child and my family that I start. Being married dont mean you will be commited and love the person you do and a marriage license dont prove that

A blood test would most likely give you a more accurate result, and you can get one at any Planned Parenthood clinic. But it is important to go back to your doctor (and follow her instructions) since your symptoms could be from many other things, some of which can be bad. You need to be checked out completely.

Oh, and be aware that people are going to come here and tell you that you're having these symptoms because you had an abortion, that you're horrible for having one, blah, blah, blah. Don't listen to them. As long as you told your doctor about the abortion and she wasn't concerned, it's not from that. And you're not horrible. You did what was right for you. Just offering a little moral support.

Good luck!

Getting a blood test WILL be the most accurate results.

However, I would suggest getting married first. While I don't care about unmarried mothers, it's that you need to have the commitment of marriage under your belt. Planning on a wedding in the future? Do it now before the baby weight hits.

If you weren't ready a year ago, what makes you ready now?

Think about this all before you dive in. It sounds like 2 weeks ago you had the flu. Usually hip pain is not associated with pregnancy.

Blood tests might be more accurate, but if you have had more than one pregnancy test come back negative, I'd be inclined to think something else is going on. You might have ovarian cysts or some other thing that is causing you problems. Possibly your doctor will help you at your next appointment and it might make it easier for you to concieve. Good Luck!

If you don't trust your doctor get a second opinion. Do not dismiss this pain. It could be nothing more than painful ovulation, I get that. But it could be more serious. Don't let this go, and don't worry about being pregnant until you find out you are.
