Simple - track the daily gold price per gram in the usual way, checking on the dollar price. If you can only find the per ounce price, just divide by number of grams in an ounce. Then go online and get a currency conversion from dollars into rupees. Sounds more complicated, but is really quite simple.

In USD gold is about 2.50 a gram. Convert that into rupees and there you go.
