Yes, McNabb had 2600 yards passing, 18 TD, and 6 INT in eight games before he got hurt. Not exactly too shabby. Jeff Garcia's done a commendable job managing the game and is great at running the West Coast offense, but can't throw downfield nearly as well as McNabb and I don't think he can lead them to a Super Bowl like McNabb did. But who knows in the weak NFC? The Bears have to be considered the favorite, but we all know Rex Grossman is capable of some incredibly poor games.

The one silver lining that's come out of the McNabb injury has been that the Eagles have finally utilized Brian Westbrook to his full capability. So I would say next year, look for McNabb to again be the starter when he gets healthy (no guarentee he will be back at the start of the season) with perhaps finally a more balanced attack on offense instead of the constant aerial attack we've grown accustomed to during Andy Reid's tenure.

Regards,
Kevin

If Garcia gets them far into the playoffs and does really well, I can see him staying with the Eagles and becoming the start. With McNabb this year, the Eagles were inconsistant. With Garcia, the Eagles have become confident, winning, and everyone else is playing well also. I can see one of them being traded to a team that needs a starting QB.

I think he will due to the fact that he has been there for years and established himself as the Eagles starter. Garcia was hired to back him up. Do I think he should be the starter? The answer is no. Garcia is on a roll and is finding ways to win every game. I would keep him in until the end of the season. He looks very good and is focused.

Just depends. If Jeff Garcia had a storybook ending and takes the Eagles to the Super Bowl and wins it all, then McNabb may find himself riding the pine or playing for the Houston Texas.

Garcia is doing so well due to Andy Reid having the west coast offense and he signed with the eagles to be a back up to a team that had a chance. At best he could obtain the job next season in training camp when everyone is vying for a starting position

He is still the starter. Look at his numbers before he went down. Garcia may be doing well but McNabb was doing better.

Yes he will be the starter. His injury though may cause him to sit well into next season. I think Garcia is comfortable in the back up roll. He is doing very well, but I think he feels that he can stay in the league longer as a back up and mentor.

If he's healthy, McNabb is the startring quarterback in Philadelphia. For better or worse, the Eagles are his team.
