i dont know if it was my water or not...i felt my underwear become damp all of a sudden, so i went and thought i had to use the restroom, so i did. then they stayed damp, so i changed them and they stayed the same, but not as much. it wasnt a lot, but enough to be uncomfortable. they're just barely like that now...is it possible that my water did break and it stopped? that the baby is blocking it now?? i dont know if that can happen or not. i have had a few contractions since, but they arent very bad. they're uncomfortable, but thats it, and i have some lower back pain that hasnt gone away since a few hours before this happened. has this happened to anyone else?? my due date is this wednesday.....

It is very possible that your water did break. It doesn't always come out in a gush, sometimes it leaks out over time. Call your doctor now and talk to him. He might want you to check into L&D to be checked. It doesn't hurt to check. Good Luck!

My first pregnancy, my water broke 3 times. The first time was a week before I delivered and I was in bed. I thought I had peed myself, it scared me when I felt the gush and ran to the washroom. We called triage they told me to come in. The nurse kept asking me if I was sure that I didnt pee myself. I'm sure!!!! Then the nurse said " If it was your water, it'll have a somewhat sweet odor to it and no colour" . I knew I didnt pee myself but they sent me home. Exactly a week later the same thing all over. A quick gush, and off to the hospital, where this time my white blood count was higher so they had to keep me. I was rght the first time. this was the second. It was 10pm that night the doctor broke what was left and each time all felt the same.
I could tell the difference. I'm sure you could.
My contracts were only minor until the doctor broke the rest of my water. WOW!!!!!!!!! Those you can tell the difference TOOO!!!!!
Good luck!

Could be I would call your DR It feels like you peed your pants a lot when your water breaks then contractions start happening
Then it will feel like you have the worst constipation of your life and need to go real bad BM wise. Due dates are not a science honey its normally 280 days from conception. Sounds like your well on your way. Call and let the doc know and start timing how often you feel the tightening in your stomach and back.

It may not be your water. Its so hard to tell if your water broke since the baby is proboly blocking your birth canal. When I went into labor with my daughter I was gushing fluid ut its wasn't my water or pee. Maybe thats what you have. I would call the dr or go into labor and delivery and get checked. Couldn't hurt. Good luck and congrats on the baby !

oh bless your heart...sweetie when your water breaks go to the hospital. I believe it has broken. The baby may be corking it. Get your bags ready the babys and yours and head to the hospital. If its nothing then better safe than sorry. I do believe this is your water tho. Otherwise I don't see why your panties would be getting wet. Also doe it have a strange smell? Amniotic fluid I've been told smells strange.

I would call your doctor right away or go to the labor and delivery unit of the nearest hospital. It is very possible that your water could have broken and the baby is blocking the so called big gush of fluid

Sounds like possible labor to me. My contractions weren't bad at first either. Mainly just back pain. Call the doctor, and good luck!

With my first daughter my water broke in a big GUSH! With my second it was a slow "leak". Is it possible, yes. Is that what is going on? I can't say for sure.
I would recommend you call your OB/GYN now and follow whatever directions he gives you. Congratulations on your forthcoming child. I hope he/she is born healthy. I wish a happy family life for you and yours.

Unfortunately, I am not a woman to answer your question based on experience, but, my advise is, please do not delay or take any risk. Get it checked up, head for the hospital immediately or head for a Doctor NOW! All the best - Mum to be!
