Are families in America disintegrating? Who or what is to blame?

American society, including very much the family, is dynamic. We are working toward a new definition of our society, but don't know yet exactly what it will be.

Thank goodness for immigrants - they bring their virtues and standards with them, synthesize them to fit in with American culture, and are building a new and stronger America rather than allowing America to become a stagnant culture.

Americans themselves are to blame; the society is a direct result of the post-WWII rampantly consumer-driven approach to existence.
