Could be that you have one of the keys stuck down on the keyboard.

Or an audible alert for low battery if it's a laptop

when you boot your computer, your computer runs a test- called power on self test- which ensures that the system is functioning properly. when a problem is detected it normally shows an error message. howerver in some cases the problem is detected so early in the test that the system cannot access the video card to print the error message on the monitor.
so the system produces a beeping pattern on the speaker to indicate the problem.

depending on which bios you are using the beep codes may vary from company to company. you will know the bios you are using when you start your computer the very first screen show s the bios. most popular bios that are commonly used are- award bios, american megatrends and phoenix.

you may need to consult your mother board manual to ascertain which type of beep code your computer is emmiting.

normally beep codes point to certain problems such as- ram not fitted properly, video card problem or some chip on the mother board has gone bad or key board problem etc.
then again if you dont understand the problem you could have a computer expert have a look at it.

If the noise only occurs when you are in Windows, that is, you only hear it when you can see the desktop and My Computer, then it may be a virus or a "Joke" program.

If the noise occurs once the power button is pressed and into windows, my best guess is a temperature alarm.

My first suggestion is to find a professional (colleges usually have a program to help and get their students experience, and fix your computer for a small cost) or a neighbor tech.
OR
If your feeling brave:
Turn off the computer, and at once start pressing F2, Del, or F10. Those are the typical buttons to get into the Bios. Look for a setting or menu for Temperature. Change the setting from Enable to Disable or else from whatever temp to disable.

The cause for the beeping means that something inside the computer is not attached properly, not compatible, or loose. Search on YouTube for how to open up your computer and then make sure everything is properly attached.

You could try the System Restore which takes you back to a time when your computer was working good. Go To:
start
programs
accessories
systems tools
system restore
This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.

Sounds like a hardware issue it could be something burning out, Video card,Sound card,Motherboard, etc. I would take it in for an inspection.

That can also be caused by over heating to so to check the temperature too. It is a good idea

Most likely something is burning out

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
