In a way... the little thoughts and gestures people do/make really do count for a lot. At the same time, the smallest things can actually be the biggest things... hey... thats the same thing! I need another drink... lol

Yes, it really is. Think about the gifts you got today. The big, spashy, expensive things are wonderful, but which are the ones that touched you most? The little things, the things that said somebody thought very carefully about exactly what you would like, or what would make you laugh, or what would add to your enjoyment.
And in everyday life, it IS the little things that count.
Hope you had a great day!

Yes. According to chaos theory, a butterfly could flap its wings and produce a storm hundreds of miles away. Some cynical people think that one person can't make a difference, but in my experience the little things are the only things that produce a tangible difference. Little things produce innovation, creativity and change. Little things can have huge quality compared to big things with low quality.

Yes! Small gestures, done throughout the year, mean so much more to me than one grand gesture at one specific holiday! A small bunch of wild flowers that showed up magically in my office. Twenty dollars in my wallet when a friend knew I was running short one week. My water bill got mysteriously paid one month. A beautiful silver necklace that just magically appeared in my desk drawer. Small things, to be sure, but how magically they appeared and made my life easier for that minute of that day.

Sometimes they don't have to cost anything at all. When my friend was sick, another friend and I went to the hospital and just sat there while she recuperated, and she didn't even know we were there for a long time, but we fed her ice chips, talked to the nurses, and talked to her family on long distance for a whole day, because she doesn't have anyone here. It was small for us, but very important to her.

Small gestures are sometimes the best.

Absolutely, as the little things include how one is on a daily basis, not just on special occasions. The morning cup of coffee that says I love you, the warm towel handed as you exit a shower, the surprise breakfast, the door opened, the note in a lunchbox...etc, all cost NO money, and yet say more than a new Mercedes in the driveway. Get it?

Yes, a rainy day, the fragrance of a rose, the kiss from one of my grands,a call from my sister and laughing about nothing at all, little things really count.

You bet, it's the little things that people remember about you. It all adds up to a large amount when all is said and done.
