I was in LV several days ago. That was my first time and it was exciting. We do not have such things in Europe (Monte Carlo is different). Only one thing I could not understand. I was attacked by latio men who tried to give me cards with girls and phone numbers. Are they just dance girls or it is usual form of prostitution hidden behind massage and exotic dances?

Prostitution is legal in Vegas. And ONLY in Vegas....

Please do not think Vegas represents the entire nation of the US!

They are prostitutes, hidden behind the name of escort or private dancer. Prostitution IS NOT legal in Las Vegas (or Reno), well in the counties these cities are in, but legal brothels exist in Nevada. They can usually be accessed on-line if you look. Do NOT mess with the street walkers as they are trouble.

Some are dancers, massagers, strippers, and ILLEGAL prostitutes, yes.

however, contary to popular belief....

Prostitution is ILLEGAL in the Las Vegas city limits. Under Nevada law, any county with a population of fewer than 400,000 is allowed to license brothels if it so chooses. That means, basically any city or county in Nevada EXECEPT VEGAS can have a brothel. Many cities or counties vote to make prostitution ILLEGAL.

Nevada has laws against engaging in prostitution outside of licensed brothels, against encouraging others to become prostitutes, and against living off the proceeds of a prostitute

I'm sure you meant, "Latino" men. For those who have never been to Vegas, they can be obnoxious. I have learned to keep my hands in my pockets when I see them on the sidewalk. Once you take one card, they shove a bunch more in your hand. I thought that Vegas police was cracking down on them.

Prostitution is illegal in Clark County, NV (where Las Vegas is). It has to do with the size of the town. For any town over 100,000 in population (I'm not sure of the exact number, and I'm sure not going to do a Yahoo search for "Nevada prostitution"), prostitution is illegal. However, as you have seen, they hide behind so called "escort services" and "massage".

Prostitution is not legal in Las Vegas. It is legal in Pahrump. These business are offering strippers to come to your room to entertain you and your guests. Any other arrangement made between you and the girl is not part of the agency. This is how the agencies get away with getting girls into your rooms. They will deny all allegations of prostitution. And the girls on the ads are not the girls you get sent.

It is definitely advertising for prostitutes hidden behind "massage" and "escort" services (because asking for it outright is illegal in Clark County).

I don't think "attacked" is the right word though. It's a minor annoyance at most. They're simply hawkers. If you show absolutely no interest and don't make eye contact, they won't get in your way.

Actually, prostitution is legal in the state of Nevada although I believe there are some restrictions as to how they can advertize it on the Strip. It's pretty unlikely that those girls were just dancing girls!

They are just dance girls.
Prostitution is legal in Nevada, but by option of local government.
Las Vegas is in Clarke County, where prostitution, is NOT legal.
Likewise Reno, which is in Washoe County, where prostitution is NOT legal.

Definitely prostitutes. What are "latio" men? Is that a European word for pimps? Are you really surprised that sex is for sale in Vegas??? Or did you just want to make sure so you can book another trip out ASAP? ;-) BTW, all of the legal brothels are outside of Vegas.

Prostitution is NOT legal in Clark County/Las Vegas.

You figured out that the girls on the cards provide adult company.

We used to put those cards on our boss's desk, figured he needed the stress relief.
