My Print from HP Laserjet 1020 are printing one small one large
vertical bands on printouts- any solutions

Vertical bands can be caused by three things.

1. Faulty toner cartridge
2. Dirty transfer charging roller
3. The mirror on the image scanner assembly is dirty

The charging roller is inside of the printer and contacts the bottom or front-end of the toner cartridge. Do not touch this roller with your hand. If you get oil on the roller it is ruined.

Item 1 is normally the cause since the image roller is inside of the toner cartridge.

It's the printer head you are referring to. Hardware issues most likely come out when the printer is aging. Have it checked on your local computer shop and see if you can replace it.

Change Tonner of printer. It is faulty.
