Is there only so much adapting one can do?

I don't know when to walk away, because there have been many times when people have walked away from me. I believe there is only so much adapting(good word choice) one can do alone. If other people aren't adapting as well....then it becomes useless. Or at least it feels that way.....I've wanted to walk away from things plenty of times...but I just don't. God didn't walk away from me, so.....

If you are talking about a relationship, then yes, usually it's when I am rarely happy. If I feel like I'm the one always giving in, or always biting my tongue so I don't say something I'll regret later then it's time to walk away. That person isn't filling my heart with joy.

>Yep, there is only so much "adapting" anyone can do...it depends on the particular situation and the combination of the facts, etc. surrounding that situation.<

Are you married? If so, you really shouldn't just walk away unless you are being abused in some way or he wont work or is an alcholic and wont get help.

Yeah, when my co-worker starts talking....and still talks while I`m walking away and still talks when I`m long gone...but that`s probably not what you meant, huh?
No, I think that there are limits. If I don`t feel like I`m being myself anymore, it`s time to move on....

There is only so much you can do. But you have to decide if it's worth it to walk away or stick with it. Me? I try to stick with it for as long as I can.

Most of the time. I've had moments I should have walked away sooner though.

I want to walk away, but sometimes one has to stay for the fight and the long haul.
