You need to include a lot more information here.
Do you have the instructions it came with? The software?
what Operating system do you have?
what is the brand name of the card?

Generally, you would turn the computer off,
Open the case,
Install the card,
turn the computer on and boot up.
if the OS detects it, then good, it should prompt you for the drivers.
Put the drivers disc in the drive and let it finish the install.

You will need a wireless router to use this card. If you have that set up, you should be able to follow the instructions to detect the signal and connect.

Do you have the card already? If you don't, get a USB Wireless and follow the instructions.
If you have purchased it and it needs to go inside, here is what you do.
First of all, read the instructions because it may want you to install the drivers BEFORE you put the hardware in the PC.
Turn the PC OFF. Make sure you unplug it from the wall so there is no electricity coming into it. You DON'T want to run the risk of getting an electrical short and killing your computer.
Open the case. I can't tell you how to do that, because each case is different.
When you get the case open, find an empty slot. Line it up with the openings in the back and remove the one that you will replace with your wireless card.
Once you get that back area open, insert the card into the slot. Make sure it goes in so that it is straight, and screw it down so it won't rock and roll.
BEFORE you put the cover on (in case you have to try again), you want to turn on the computer and make sure it recognizes the hardware.
If it doesn't repeat the steps above to reseat it into that slot.
Once you are sure it is recognized by Windows, put the case back on. If you haven't installed the software, here would be where you do it.
Then you get the fun job of getting it to recognize your wireless network, but I suppose that would be a different question!

Again, if you haven't bought the card yet, USB is easier. You install the software and plug in the usb wireless and it should be recognized.

Good Luck!!

Are you going USB dongle or PCI?

The PCI will require that you power down the system and open your case, find a slot on your mother board, remove the back plate for that slot. (this may have a screw in it). The carefully push your PCI card into the slot. Secure the card with a screw if required. Once you power it back up, Windows will look for the drivers, if it doesnt have them it will ask you to put in the disk. The rest is pretty much Automatic as Windows will scan for wireless networks and have you set up the ones you want to use. This may require you entering passwords and key phrases.

The USB dongle will use an open powered USB port. Just install it and Windows will step in a do a driver search like above.

Tip: Even if Windows has a driver built in, it is best to use the one that came with your wireless equipment or get the updated driver off line. Using Windows wireless connection manager seems to be the best way to go.
