Pandora - that is true, but also consider that the Indians didn't wash their hands or sterilize dishes before and after preparing meat, which is VERY dangerous, especially back in the days of no antibiotics.

they didn't have heart disease because they had an active life style...if you had to train horses to chase buffalo, go starving for weeks until you found one, then chase it for miles until you killed it, not to mention butcher it, treat and tan the hide (as well and make it into clothing), slice it and preserve it.....it was definitely 2% fat meat as well. Eating meat isn't bad, it's the whole sedentary life style that goes with it that's bad.

It isn't bad. If it was, why would we ever gain protein from it? If it really was such a terrible thing, eating meat would be like eating poisonous mushrooms. Also, being at the top of the food chain, we're supposed to eat meat.

Eating meat is good!
We made a standing rib roast for Christmas dinner, it was awesome!!!

I've never had whale, is it good? I had buffalo once, it wasn't that different from beef. It was ranched buffalo, not some endangered buffalo.
And Ostrich is good too!

I can't imagine life without meat!!

Edit: Sorry for rambling on... two glasses of wine with dinner... :)

The archaelogical record of the human being shows that we have been omnivores from the beginning. We were made to eat both meat and plants. So no, it is not bad. Besides how can anything as good as filet mignon be considered bad?

It is not bad. We are the top of the food chain. Besides, cow flatulence is destroying the environment. I am doing the world a service by eating the cow.

If you do not want to eat meat, that is your business. I do and that is my business.
