Oh! Please also tell me a little about the plot, but don't tell me too much that you'll spoil the movie. Just a littttttle bit of detail please.

ahh. I love romance too. I cried like a baby at the movie "big fish". I wish I could remember movie names. I would have a whole list.
Love Story
Stealing Beauty
The story of Us
Natural Born Killers
Great Expectations
Herald and Maude
Sweet November
Untamed Heart
Cast Away
City of Angels
I wish I knew the name of these two saddest movies ever, but I can't for the life of me think of them. sorry. It's driving me crazy.

ah. I found one movie you should watch--Its called "Friends" and is from 1971, with a follow up movie called "Paul and Michelle". both excellent movies. they may be in french though.

Here's one that nobody's mentioned yet: "Grave of the Fireflies." It's about a young boy and his little sister's struggle to survive in Japan during World War II. Seriously - everybody I know that saw it cried at some point during that movie. It may be animated (anime, actually), but so far, it's the saddest movie I've ever seen. Other honorable mentions (in no particular order):

- "Steel Magnolias"
- "Fried Green Tomatoes"
- "The Green Mile"
- "The Color Purple"
- "John Q"
- "Forrest Gump"

Hope this helps. :)
