I really like a guy and I have for over a year. We are really good friends but I don't know if I should tell him because I'm worried it will make things too akward.

I've been in the same situation as you have several times... and only much later discovered that my friend was romantically interested in me, but like me, was afraid to say anything. I missed out on some great possible relationships that way.

One woman, who I dated briefly in high school, finally told me that she still liked me, five years later, after I'd graduated from college.

We ended up in a relationship that lasted six years... and we would have gotten married if we hadn't drifted in different directions professionally.

Go for it... if you're really good friends, and he's not interested, the awkwardness will quickly fade. If you don't go for it, you may find out years later that he really liked you as well, and you'll have that regret on what could have been...

You have a hard choice yes.

Unfortunately there is no half way house with guy girl relationships. So once you say it he will need to make a choice.. If he chooses you you will be over the moon. If he doesn't it is all over red rover.

Don't say anything until you are the point of ultimatum.

If you are goods friends like you say you should be able to talk about anything.

Talk about it because you will always wonder what may have happened if you don't.

Go steady though tell him you don't want things to change if he doesn't feel the same. Don't wait til he meets some one else.

yes if you think he feels the same way, why waist anymore time, and maybe let some one else get him,
but if your not sure, start doing things girls do to make guys fall for him, but do them almost sneaky like, you do not want to scare him away, but do them! and do them a lot too, make sure you MAKE him like you and soon...you can do it...after all you already know him so well. you have been good friends for a year, you have it almost all done..you just need to get his heart is you already do not have it...it is easy GO FOR IT NOW !

good luck

Come on! what are you waitting for!! I think you waited enough. I say go ahead. If it's ment to be, it will now or later. Make sure you dont wait to long because then you're really going to regret it. I wish you good luck.(that is if you have the guts).

tell him. i told a good friend of mine i had liked him for the past 2 years and he was very honest with me. nothing has changed at all. just keep in mind that for guys, female friends are VERY important and that might influence on his response.

I've been there before and it ended up ugly. If you like your friendship, and if he doesent give you any signs that he seems interested relationship, then maybe its good to just stay friends.

if you want to risk what you have for something more, then yes. and even if he rejects you, things might return to normal after a while. take a chance! there is a chance he feels the same!! i say go for it, good luck!!
