i would rather he forgot--that way i could have the joy sharing with him our time together again, an hopefully making the memories that much better the second time around (plus, i'd have the chance that we'd all like to have of going back to make up for our mistakes!!)

My Dad is my best friend, slowly he is forgetting things and becomes sad and frustrated. I would take the "forgetting" and frustration if I could.

I wouldn't chose anyone in my life to lose their memory. But I would never want to lose my memory either. This is a choice I'm glad I never have to make.
