Campaigners in the UK have tried for years to have sentences for rape increased to life. The government has always refused to consider it on the basis that, if a rapist knows that there is the slightest chance on arrest that the victim can identify him and that he stands to be sent down for the longest time, then it is highly possible more women would be murdered as well as raped. After all, what does the rapist have to lose by killing his rape victim and thereby decreasing his chances of being identified?
Two consenting adults cannot be accused of rape, I don't understand that part of your ramble at all

There are so many reasons against having a death penalty instead of life without parole- not a deterrent, costs much more, mistakes (human nature) cannot be undone and more. Most murderers do not think they will be caught (if they think at all.) Death sentences can also be much harder on victims family members, and in the case of rape, would be terrible for the victims.
People who commit depraved acts should be locked up for good. You don't have to approve of their actions to oppose the death penalty. Life without parole means what it says and being locked in a tiny cell for 23 of 24 hours a day is no picnic. We should know the facts and use common sense.
The only reason for a death penalty is revenge.

i think this question has a lot of extenuating (spelling?) circumstances based on different cases that you can't really compare. i don't feel that raping someone deserves the death penalty (being a true rape victim). with rape there are a lot of gray areas and a lot of states have a law that if the court (prosecutor) can't prove that they did it for sexual gratification then there would be no crime committed (as what happened in my case) one person was acquitted and the other plead guilty. they were tried separately and we couldn't use ones testimony against the other. the one that plead guilty stated they did it for sexual gratification, but the other didn't. since my case the law has been changed in that state, which is a good thing. so i think it's a very touchy case and you can't compare the cases or scenarios that you laid out above to each other.

In a civilised modern society there is no reason for Capital punishment, regardless of how henious the crime is .
There have been numerous cases where te accused was hanged only to be found innocent in later years, also many convicts on detah row in Texas were found to be innocentof the crime they were found guilty of through DNA.
Rape, child abuse and murder are all disgusting and I willl never condone them, but the death penalty will never be a suitable punishment.
Life without parole is.For someone to know that in there early 30s that 4 walls , a wash basin and a prison bed will be their universe for the rest of their living days and they will never see freedom is a very apt and suitable punishment, death is to easy and to kind to these scum.

As you explained it depends on the circumstances.
And it also depends on how solid the evidence it.
As we have seen lately a lot of innocent people are locked up and many innocent people have been put to death.
Lots of people are now changing their minds about the death penalty now that we know from DNA testing that plenty of innocent people are wrongly convicted or rape and murder.

Why death instead of life in prison? Sex offenders have displaced their intelligence, conscience and self-survival at least for a period or maybe permanently. The threat of death doesn't enter the equation.
So the answer is not what is justice or what will teach a lesson. The answer is whatever gets you off personally.

If you think a 15 year old boy who has sex with his teacher is a rape victim, you are living in a fantasy world.

i think the best sentance for these rapist is to place them in a room full of women....its more painfull for the rapist...a slower death and torture...that goes for ppl who steal and sell kids as sex slaves to...as for a 15yr old boy with the teacher..the bot was consenting..so it cant be actuall rape in my books..but the teacher should be imprisoned for under age sex with the 15 yr old
