I've only been using it a short time, but I'm very happy with the performance and stability so far. I've had only one crash since I installed, down from one an hour or so with IE 6. I like the interface changes... the one thing I'm not sure I like is that by default there is no text menu. This will make some things harder for users who can't find it easily on their own... (by pressing down the Alt key).

I had been using IE 6 for a long time and was generally happy with it so when IE7 came along I wasn't too thrilled. But I figured I would give it a test run and see how it was. Overall with a few minor blips, I am quite satisfied. As time goes on, I think I will get more and more used to it. As you can see from the answers here, everyone has a different opinion. Only you can really decide. Just try to keep an open mind about it. You can switch back to IE 6 if you are not satisfied with IE7 although I think eventually Microsoft will no longer allow that and you can always get Firefox as so many people are recommending.

I did the upgrade and within a day or two, I don't remember, I uninstalled it because I truely hated it. Went back to IE6 and I am very happy.
IE7 has moved some of the usual buttons (no longer where you expect them to be) don't like the tabs at the top, just to much of a bother to me. Can't organize the toolbar and put things where you want to. Slows the page loading time because it is checking the page or website for phishing and other stuff. Nice, but makes the loading slow. To much crap we don't need added and the layout I feel is just not well thought thru, they should have taken a survey to see what the people would like to keep and what they would like new but they didn't and it makes IE7 not much fun in my opinion. Some may like it, I personally am sticking with IE6.

I turn off most of the enhancements to make it work like IE6. The capability for more than one home page has bugs and may crash the first time you run it each day. I turn the menu bar back on cause I am just used to it. Other than that, the best I can say is that it is just different from IE6.
