Im here in San Diego, my girlfriend is in the Philippines. Where do I go from here?

a. I'll keep working, save some money and bring her over here in the States. Then we work together to have a better life forever.

b. I'll keep working, save some money, visit her 1 to 2 times a year. If i have enough money already move back to the Philippines, invest or run a business and we can have a better life back there. (note: she is willing to work with me for a business)

Long term, go with option b even if you get a different girlfriend. The Philippines is a much better place to live - stuff the USA and all of the superficial consumerism crap there. I was born and raised there - the best thing I ever did was leave the god forsaken place!

The people in the Philippines are much more genuine, and as someone stated the economy in the Philippines is going up and in the USA its going down. The peso has appreciated about 13% over the past 2 years, and I wouldn't be surprised if it continued on this trend for the next few years.

American Economy is slowing down and Philippine Economy is on the rise. If you are smart, invest in the Philippines because everything is still cheap. With its economy moving forward, you'll never know what you'll get when it reach its higher plane. Just be selective and do what you think is best.

For starter, it's always a good thing to know each other. There is no divorce in the Philippines unlike in the States. Therefore, if you get married in the Philippines, you're married for life. You may opt to marry at the American Embassy so American family law will take effect.

You're 24 and you're still young. I am pretty sure your girl friend wants to know you more before making any commitment. It's kinda difficult to have a distance relationship.

Good luck to whatever you decide to do.

Mabuhay!

My answer is something between a and b.
I think it is tough to save enough money to invest or run a business while you are visiting once or twice a year. Your one trip to Philippines will cost your savings. Bring her to US and if you two work hard here, I think you can save substantial amount much quicker than you yourself alone. Then go back to home, start a business, take care of your and your girlfriend's family, and lead a happy life together.

Yeah i think going for option B is a good option. If your girlfriend lives here in the Phils then it's hard to live another half or more of your life in some foreign countries. It is better to settle down with your family in a place you're already familiar.

Adjusting is a tough thing to do. And for me, there's no place like Philippines to be my home! If I'm going to be married someday, I'll prefer Phils. than any other countries.

But still it depends on your choice. Good Luck!

Sounds tough to decide. if you will have enough to start a business, and if you are eligible to live in the philippines, or do business there then sounds good to live there and work together, better than toiling away here in the states. otherwise the immigration process here is long and troublesome, if i come into some money i would try to live in the phils, with my fiancee(soon to be wife as soon as she gets visa to the states) good luck.

I say keep working, save your money, find out how much a plane ticket cost to fly her in. Then have her start work with you so both of you can have more money and then maybe she could stay in the states with you. Good Luck

I think Snowsnake had the correct answer . I would try to save money before deciding to do either . However you may want her to at least get a passport if you decide to bring her here . What province is she from ?

Since she's not into moving to the States then go for option b.

Both options are very well thought of but I feel this issue is for both of you to talk about. This is your future, if you love her and she loves you this issue about the future should be decided in mututal respect to each other, it is a teamwork.
Merry Xmas
