I thought i already answered this question but i guess not. The Genie is probably taking a break for the holidays. Have you asked for a female or a male Genie that could be part of the problem. Have you given them a name besides Genie so as not to offend the Genie. When you get yout Genie would you be kind enough to ask him/her if he/she would send over a desirable male Genie friend I already have a lamp that i can rub. Not as lovely as yours but maybe it will work anyway. This is one rough year and i need lots of good years to make up for this one and some other bad years. I would be most gratiful to you. A tip make your first wish -that you can have as many wishes as you please come true for you. Just in case there is a limit on the number of wishes. You know the old story about the number being 3. Have fun and enjoy your lamp and your Genie! It is 11;45 here and still Christmas so i hope you have enjoyed the holiday and that you and your Genie have a very happy new year!

The genie was stuck in the goo part. If you turned it on, then the goo got hot and killed the genie... sorry.

However, if by some miracle the genie survived and you get him out, could you wish that my lava lamp worked? Brand new, bought it today, and the lava doesn't flow... and it's been on for 6 hours. Why does everything I buy not work?

Most likely you got one with a shy genie.. Keep on rubbing every so gently for about 20 minutes, then fast and hard for another 20 and he will come out

Lava ? as in volcano ?
Well, then do wait for the lava to erupt and the genie to be thrown out with the ashes.
It might take time , but volcanoes do erupt , u know.

You rubed it? Well, there's the problem right there. None of us like to be rubed. It's a good thing you never rubed that genie. I would rube my head if you rubed a genie. Rubed.

Ah the problem is that it was mass produced in China. instead of Arabia. They don't have those kinds of Jinns in China if any.

You could try a little baby oil, or maybe some KY jelly. Works for me.
