why do we get swollen lips in the morning [on occasion]?

When I was young, sometimes I would get swollen lips when I woke up in the morning, but I would never understand why or how.

A sign of dehydration.
Drink more water & this will stop.

Well, as a former brass/trumpeteer, I'd often wake up with swollen "chops" after a long gig from the previous night. I'd just ice em down and work back into it gradually. What lips are you talking about?

most i can say is its allergies. swolen lips eyes etc are all good signs of allergies
