how do you trill without a pick? do you use two fingers to hit the same string or do you use one finger and move it up and down really fast? what do you do??

A trill is simply a rapid alternation of two adjacent notes on a scale. On the guitar, trill is usually done using hammer-ons and pull-offs. It can be done with or without physically hitting the first note. Simply strike the first note, hammer-on the second, pull off, and repeat, many many times :)

If practiced it is best to do it alternating finger almost like a tremolo but all on the same string. This will allow you to sustain the trill up longer without tiring your hand for the rest of the song
