Yes, there are a couple of ipod owners in our house and one family computer. The trick is when you hookup the ipod the first time you need to make sure they ahve different names. Do name name them both "ipod". It is better to name them "steve's ipod" and "Jan's Ipod". Then in itunes you can create playlists for the music each of you want. We are doing this with itunes 7, 2 5th generation ipods and a 4th generation ipod.

Yes. You can do like my family and use one account for about 4 or 5 accounts. When the software recognizes the account when you dock the device, just select the "name" of yours. I had that question, too. No problem.
