Simple question. Why don't people just say bathroom. A bathroom is called it because there is usually a bath in that room. Or when they started naming things, there would have been a bath. Why restroom? Why not getaloadoffroom?

Because it's a place to rest sometimes for some people, like when you're taking a dump you rest on the toilet :) And it's also a place to relieve yourself.

Haver you seen some of them that are larger, have more privacy, and perhaps a couch... i think people used to be allowed a resting place in public places.

I like "takeadumproom" and "takeaweezerroom" or "takealeakypeepeeroom"
