your an adult now like it or not they have to accept it tell your work quickly and that way you wont have a chance of going to war the rents might see it as a positive that baby could save your life

Well, after your blood tests come back positive, you are just going to have to tell them, i think telling them in person would prob be better than a letter, but either method will get the point accross!!! You are having a baby! You have a really good job and you can take care of yourself!!! Just cus you are in the military, doesnt mean you will be discharged if you are preggo....however you will need to think about where the baby will go if you are called overseas or during assignments! Have you told the soon to be daddy yet? I think it is easier to tell someone with someone else on your side! Good Luck!

If you think that they will freak out (I know you are technically and adult but you are not to your parents i bet!) then write them a letter. Plan all the details out of what you are going to do and let them know that you have thought this out. Show them that you are an adult and can make your own decisions. And no matter how bad it gets (b/c it can get bad) remember that your paernts love you unconditionally and they will come around eventually. Just give them time to get their heads wrapped around the idea. Good luck!

I had a surprise pregnancy, and I didn't want to tell ANYONE! It helped me to have answers ready--about going back to work, health insurance, maternity leave, was I ready, etc, etc. When I felt like I could answer these questions, I felt confident telling my family. You have a wonderful support network in the military! Maybe I'll see you at a playgroup someday!

Tell them that you are responsible for your own body and life, so they can either support you now or condemn you, but it wouldn't be fair to the child caught in the midst of it all for them to choose the latter. Let them know how much their support means to you and try to relay your happiness about having a child, and they're bound to get excited over becoming grandparents.

tell them that you are now going to be discharged from the army, then the pregnancy, then the tattoo...if the first two don't cause a heart attack the last one surely won't
