zango is usually downloaded in games online. there was(and probably still is) spyware named search assistant180 and it was a cu*t to get rid of and i think this zango is something to do with it. as long as you have decent anti spyware then you should be fine. AVG will not remove xango !!

Well there are many "helpful" programs which promise something and then make the problem worse. I've had infection download themselves and tell me I needed to pay to get rid of them. After looking I don't think that SpywareDoctor is your problem. What other programs do you have on your computer. Zango is a program you agree to install at some point. Ive seen it attached to File-share programs, games, and even font downloads. So at some point you probably "let" it into your computer(please read EULAs, you know the part that says, "I agree").
I use Adaware(Lavasoft), Spybot S&D, and Ewido and keep them updated. Good luck!

Zango is a rouge toolbar, usually comes with MediaGateway/180solutions, there is a removal tool for these nasties.
Install itself in the Program files folder and runs at startup, as in;
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [zango] "c:\program files\zango\zango.exe"
Websites that you visit collect cookies to remember your settings next time you visit them again, spyware cookies are just malicious cookies that spy on you and report back to their sites.

spyware doctor is safe but i recommend you get xoftspy and compare the results. xoftspy will get rid of it if you get a license from astalavista.com or any other website. the zango thingy isnt too bad if you get rid of it early enough.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
