Its more of a fashion thing. White is considered a spring and summer color. You can still wear white tops just not white bottoms.

This is an old fashioned fashion thing. It used to be that white was considered only a color to be worn during the summer. Somebody picked Labor day as the "end of summer" and convinced a lot of people that it was the proper thing to do. Ridiculous isn't it?

Me too---I always wonder why white has to end when summer does. Seems silly to me. I really don't know the reason though.
