I have my cable modem connected to my IPCOP (http://www.ipcop.org) firewall, and i have the option of also using my neighbor's wireless internet connection.

I have a PCI wireless card in a drawer that i want to use as the gateway for this second WAN.

So.. i found that IpCop does not support dual WAN. But pfSense (http://pfsense.org) does.
The truth is that i want to keep things as simple as possible, and if i deal with pfSense, i will spend a lot of time reading stuff and figuring things out...
Im not planning this for a big network, but just my computer.
So here is my question.

What happens if i just install the wireless card in my PC to connect to the wireless network, PLUS my current ethernet connection to my own network?

Will windows know how to manage my WAN access, or at least can i manually indicate to a few applications (like uTorrent) to use the wireless gateway instead my ethernet connection?

****. i have no more characters to work with... so merry christmas and Thanks

Generally speaking, the first network that you connect to will determine your default gateway. That's the direction that all traffic will flow. You'd need to add static routes to your PC to force communication to the other network. This is done by IP or network address, not by application -- at least I've never found a way to do it by application with Windows.

not even worth the effort. if you have a cable modem I wouldn't even bother with wireless.
