I have Pokemon FireRed Version for the Gameboy advance and I want to know if it can be linked to any of the older Pokemon games through the linking cable? I've tried tradeing pokemon from the Crystal Version and the Red version to the FireRed Version on my gameboy advance, and I can't seem to get it to work. Is there something wronge with my cable or is it just that it can't be linked with older versions?

Ok so I have the origonal Gameboy link cable, not the gba cable, so I need to get that.

Once I get the gba cable with I be able to connect a gameboy advance and a original gameboy color with it? (never mind the game)

Backwards connectivity is not allowed. First, the cable. Its a small thing, but back when there was crystal and stuff trading was incredibly slow. Also there was IVs. In the game programming there are IVs that trigger stats and whether your pokemon is shiny or not (crystal only). However now there are 32 IVs when there were 16 or something like that back then. ITs not possible, sorry.
