I'm a Colts fan.
No. Chances are, as heartbreaking as it sounds, no. They have no defense. A Superbowl team cannot have a horrible defense and expect to win. I really think that the Chargers are on fire and they're going to go.
Which kind of sucks, because Peyton Manning should be in the Superbowl. What a waste of talent on such a horrible defense. One man unfortunately can't win a football game, especially a playoff game.
There's always next year.

The Colts have one of the worst rush defenses in the league, meaning that at least one of their playoff opponents will likely get:
a) huge gains in the running game
b) easy conversions in short yardage situations
c) easy touchdowns in goal line situations
d) ease of playcalling (a solid rushing attack allows coaches to delve deeply into their play-action pass plays and take chances with long bombs downfield, since the DBs will have to respect the run at some point-- if not, then they'll merely continue to shove the rush down their throats)
e) a smaller chance of comitting costly interceptions
f) perhaps the most important: BALL CONTROL. A good rushing attack chews away at the clock, and there's not much the Colts can do if their offense only has the ball for twenty minutes or less out of 60.
Also, Peyton Manning has continually displayed un-Peyton-like play in the playoffs year after year. Sorry, but there are simply too many holes in the Colts' rushing defense for them to have a realistic chance to make a Superbowl.

I just watched my team, Cowboys, get beat up by Philly. That said, neither Dallas or the Colts will make it to the Superbowl with their current defenses. Other teams have found out how to run on them and control the offense by keeping the offense off of the playing field. The colts have a better offense then Dallas, but history has shown that defense is what wins games and Superbowls.

You mean will the team with the worst defensive line in the league make it through 3 games of the playoffs? Probably not. If they play San Diego look for L.T. to run for 275 yards and at least 5 TDs. Lorenzo Neal could probably bust out 100 yards and at least a TD against the Colts. Hell, Phillip Rivers could probably run for over a hundred against that sloppy defense.

Ever heard of the phrase:
"There is no such thing as a stupid question."
Well, you just proved that wrong. THE TEXANS ran for 3 TD's and over 100 yards. IF the Colts meet the Chargers in the playoffs they will roll over and DIE. The Chargers will ri them to shreds. Possibly the best all around back ever to lace em' up will be in the backfield. The lone record holder who surpasses Shaun Alexander this season. The Colts have a great offense. Defense is lacking. The return of B. Sanders will be very helpful.

Ben, do not let the Raiders' record fool you. Yeah, they are pretty bad. But their defense is better then a a few different teams.

The Colts will (and in many ways already have) blow it again. They fall apart at the end of every year, Manning may never get a ring no matter how well he does the first 13 games of every regular season. Don't count on the Colts to do anything in the postseason this year.

The Colts have no defense and they are in a melt down mode. Payton is the only reason the team is still active. Without him they would not be this far alone. Look for them to make it only one round of play offs

Ron Dayne ran over them for 100+ yards and 3 TDs.
Unless they can stop opponents' rushing game, they will be a 1st round departure from the play-offs.
