My brother and I are considering splitting the cost of one. I have a few worries though:
1. The games look like they were made for six year olds. (My little brother is 15) Is this just what they have now, or is it always going to be like this?
2. Are they a fad? They're different because you do the actions of the characters, but is that their only appeal?
3. Since they're so hard to get right now, am I going to find them in the stores a few months down the road, for a fraction of the price I'm paying?

The Wii is very popular because 1) it's the most affordable of the next-generation systems and because 2) it's made for both gamers and for casual players and non-gamers. The market appeal is very broad, and the games are easy to pick up and learn, even if you haven't played video games before (have your parents try playing Wii sports and you'll see what I mean).

1. Wii sports has a very cartoony casual feel, but certainly Zelda: Twilight Princess has a much different feel. Check that game out, it's worth getting the Wii for by itself.

2. The Wii remote is made to support many different types of games. It's innovative with about 6 different levels of motion sensing (senses position, direction, movement, twisting, etc etc), as well as having all the controls of a "standard" video game controller: a d-pad, analog joystick, 9 buttons. It's very versatile.

3. If you can get a Wii for $249.99 in a store, that's a pretty good price. Actually, they're very difficult to find in retail stores at the moment, so if you find one you should pick it up. It will drop to $200 next year, but it won't come bundled with Wii Sports.

Propaganda. The mass media promote it, even if they use negativity. The situations are also set up to make it look popular, for example, not all those who buy it really want it, they might have been hired to generate demand.

1. They primary aimed the games for all ages, in typical Nintendo fashion. There will be more games for some specific age ranges, some already exist right now though.

2. All thing are a fad. The controller does allow new kind of inputs, but Nintendo seem going to push the Wii's as the networkable gaming hub.

3. Sooner or later, they gonna be available and their price wil be cut.

specific, the wii has basically released their quantity one interest "large wreck Bro's Brawl", and quickly too launch their next terrific interest "Mario Kart -Wii" around could, those video games are what make the wii very time-honored. And the up coming Wii extra wholesome, which will certainly grow to prevail, with each and every of the wholesome yoga nuts obtainable. yet in spite of everything that, in my opinion, the Wii wont have the rest to grant. Like with the gamecube, while they launch their hit video games, it basically fades interior the historic past. Yea constructive the wii will constantly be relaxing to play with, esp with the digital console, which facilitates you to play each and every of the classic video games, yet with the photographs in straightforward terms a tad extra suitable than the unique Xbox, no longer that many video games will look effective adequate to play. till each and every of the video games are in caricature kind. and the reason they are out of inventory everywhere is by technique of the fact Nintendo has desperate to in straightforward terms launch some volume of Wii's, to the two save human beings desirous to to get one, or they do no longer could desire to make alot and not have them offered, like the PS3. yet basically wait... the PS3 is going to make a large come decrease back, with each and every of the intense definition hype going around (which the Wii lacks). and with Sony's new OLED televions, that surpass all different television's via hundreds of thousands
