Something that doesn't require me to buy anything and I can do on the couch. Perhaps, for instance, some strength exercises that a person can do while sitting and looking forward, but don't require weights or any other purchase?

Some things you can do while watching TV:
-floss your teeth (you know that you never really do a thorough job otherwise, right?)
-Frenchbraid your child's hair
-shave your legs
-paint your nails
-cream the butter in your cake recipe
-whisk eggs
-yoga
-massage (particularly if the massagee sits on the floor right in front of you... you can do a shoulder massage that is very nice)
-quilting
-needlepoint
-knitting
-crochet
-jigsaw puzzles
-homework
-brush the dog
-clip the dog's nails (but some attention IS necessary lol)
-hook the back bobbins on someone's fancy gown
-hand-brush (with water and baking soda) spots from the carpet
-do eye exercises (you'll need them if you watch lots of TV)
-put together a Dream/Vision/Manifestation Board of your burning Goals (one goal might be to stop watching so much TV)
-cut out pictures for a collage and organize them according to color
-do a collage or other art work
-watch your neighbors come and go through the window behind the TV
-text your friends
-practice cheers
-deal with a sore throat by gargling for sustained periods of time, attempting not to swallow the gargle
-steam your face
-pay attention to the home repair and cooking shows and learn to do home repairs and to cook-- practice during the breaks
-practice EFT, an energy psychology technique to overcome anxiety and bad habits. This is an excellent time to deal with stuff like a fear of public speaking or a repetitive thought that won't stop playing in your head or thinking of something more interactive to do with your life besides watch TV....you can download the free Get Started Package at http://tinyurl.com/yh5zhu, or if you want to dive in right away by purchasing the inexpensive instructional DVDs click here>> http://tinyurl.com/ycwle8

Yes Devil girl... You could stretch and twist around all your body parts ten times, each, and then rest while watching your favorite.

When the commercial starts write answers to the questions here and tell us how well your little titan exercise plan is working.

drawing. I do that whenever I am watching Americas Next Top Model. I like to sketch out what some one is wearing on the show.

But you can do shoulder stretches and arm stretches and toe touches. Doesn't help, does it?

You can stretch or do tricep dips using the chair. You can do bicep curls using light weights or water bottles.
Besides exercises, you can knit or crochet or give yourself a manicure/pedicure. Lots of stuff to do while zoning out infront of the TV.

You can do crunches, leg lifts, pushups, and you can use canned goods as weights if you dont want to purchase any. Or you can buy cheap ones at the dollar store
