As a former treasurer of one of the Log Cabin chapters, I can say that, yes, they are.
Gay Republicans are usually liberal about "gay rights." They are conservative about a great many other things, but liberal about that.
But one thing that you don't understand is that the Democrats do NOT "embrace" the gay rights "agenda." Think about this -- the last time the Democrats held the White House, the Senate, and the House at the same time (1993-1994), they couldn't even pass a bill to eliminate the ban on gays in the military. A couple of years later, when the Defense of Marriage Act came up for a vote, 2/3s of the Democrats in Congress voted for it.
Those of us who are gay and who chose to join the Republican Party did so because we knew that Democrats were NOT advocates for "gay rights." We joined the Republicans because we had a MOSTLY conservative set of political beliefs. We joined because we supported a strong national defense (during the time when Democrats had bumper stickers which read "You can't hug your kids with nuclear arms") and lower taxes.
In my case, I also joined the Republicans because I oppose judicial activism. I oppose ALL judicial activism, including what happend in Lawrence v. Texas and in the Massachusetts court. Unfortunately, I discovered that other gay Republicans did not oppose those rulings.

It is interesting that like the Nazi's Republican "conservatives" bill themselves as the party of "Family Values" yet in reality they hate as a whole -- they OFTEN, OFTEN, OFTEN vote against these types of people in Congress. In reality it is themselves who are "destroying America":
- poor people
- unemployed people
- women
- blacks
- hispanics
- LGBT gay and transgendered
- gender identity oriented people
- scientific people
- low wage earners
- union workers
- disabled people
Basically, the entire GOP (Republican) party is about making money for the extremely rich and taxing the desperately poor and blaming the above people for all of their ills and perceived injustices.
In effect, the GOP or Republican "Conservative" party is a facist organization just like die hard Nazi's were and their agenda is EXACTLY the same.

No. Gay Republicans are very conservative. Most often Gay Republicans are older businessmen, married or divorced with children. Most are Christian men. I warn you, however, DO NOT GENERALIZE, you never know! The closeted, conservative gays have infiltrated the GOP way deeper than Iranians in Iraq!

Some gay Republicans are very conservative and support Iraq war. They aren't that crazy about gay marriage and don't care if Republicans support gay marriage. They are conservatives who are gay, not liberal activists.

you're actually blaming Democrats for the type of people in your party....wow....I guess you blame everyone for your bad grades, your crappy job, and gaining those few pounds around the holidays....so by extension...your logic suggests that it is also the Democrats fault that Foley was trolling for young kids in Congress...or are you just blaming Democrats for being there and being witness to it so the Republican majority had to get rid of him

Why not? There is, and should be, a diversity of opinions within any political party.

I think you should ask Cheney's daughter, or visit their web site and read their position, since you are so fascinated by it.
