You just touched a huge nerve. My in laws live in the same town as us and are completely helpless. They think we're their TV guide and phone book all rolled into one. What time does this come on, what channel does it come on. What's the phone number to here or there. I don't even answer the phone anymore when they call. I'm sorry I must have had the music turned up too loud. But my wife still does and gets this, what are you doing, what are you having for dinner, what are you doing, what did you have for dinner? Tell your husband he's lucky he just has to put up with it on Christmas. I know this was long but I needed to get it off my chest.

Yes, my brother-in-law. He went through a very bad divorce. He lost everything he's worked for for over 20 years. I hope he can rebuild his life. I hate seeing a grown man cry all the time. He did not deserve the deal he received.

So far, so good. Our Christmas with my mom, and later with his family went well. However, my fiance is meeting my dad in person for the first time tomorrow (my dad lives pretty far away). I hope it goes well and my dad doesn't tell too many embarrassing stories about my past.

No thanks, I have my own set of demons! My inlaws are church staff, and their entire creed in life is 'what would the neighbors think?!'
