There are a lot of knock offs that looks real good. Rolex does not stop or give trouble. If they do, you can always take it back to any rolex dealer. If for some reason you can't then it is a fake.
If it is in fact a fake, the aggravation is not worth it. Just set it aside. For $10 you can get watches (with spare batteries to boot)that will last at least a couple of years.

Any product can be defective(yes even a REAL Rolex), Return the watch to the Jeweler where it was purchased. They should have no problem diagnosing the problem/fixing it. If they are unable to repair it, they will probably replace it. Good luck.

Some people do have some sort of magnetic something that will keep watches from running....let your wife wear the watch & see if it still stops...IF it does, and it is an authentic ROLEX, may I suggest that you promptly take it back where you bought it from. If it is Rolex, they will take care of it.

to spot a fake Rolex look at the second hand. A fake stops at each second, jumping from second to second. A real one moves smoothly from second to second. This is the way most fakes can be spotted.
