Yeah, he's been dead since July 1971, and is buried in Pierre LaChaise Cemetary in Paris. The real queston is HOW did he die? It's always been said he died of a heart attack, but I've heard at least 3 other versions.

Yes, he is burried in France. (I don't know why France instead of America since he's from here) But he died from overdosing sadly.

Yes, he is. He reportedly died in Paris of a drug overdose in 1970. He is buried there.
