Ideally, your hcg levels go up and up in early pregnancy. Hcg rises in a steady pattern, that is fairly consistant from woman to woman (doubling roughly every 48 hours). If they're falling, it's a bad sign, and the pregnancy is not viable. As I understand it, it will not start to climb again.

I think your question got cut if your hcg level is going down, I think a miscarriage us ineveitable. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dropping any time before 12 weeks usually means a miscarriage.
After 12 weeks, it naturally declines as the placenta takes over.
