drink plenty of water, and also it helps to take a warm bath....it helps relax your muscles...as for some kind of pills, I take Midol....they help me out a lot, but everyone is different. I'm sorry i didn't have any other suggestions, but I know how you feel....I've had cramps so bad, I've wished I could just die, and others I've wished I were a guy. get you one of those heating pads, and place it on your belly....that should help. I hope you feel better!

I would go to school. You are stessed because you are overloaded with so many things going on. If you need to take a nap, take one, but only spend 20 minutes asleep. Go ahead, go to sleep at a reasonable time. Sometimes it is better to go to sleep early, and then wake up early. Don't cram for those test, either. Study 20 minutes each night, and you will have all the knowledge down for them. If you have to cram, don't study if you can't think straight, because you will NOT retain anything. As for your debate, pick an obscene point that you have read about/ heard about/ have sources for, and argue it. It will require a lot less studying, especially if no one else sees the point coming. If you go off of a quote by a famous person or reputable source, and then expand on it, you can quickly come up with arguments in favor of your side. Go to school, because in life, we can't skip what comes our way. Oppurtinity +Prepardness= Succes Go to sleep early, and don't stress too much. Think logically about things, and even tests you have NOT prepared for will be manageable (but still prepare for them, it really does help) Good luck on your debate. A good last resort comment for philosophy is: "If there is no designer (or God) in the world, then how can we trust our own thoughts?" Our thoughts must be completely random, and since we cannot trust our thoughts, this debate is founded on random ideas, because they came from random thoughts. Therefore, the winner must be random, which defeats the whole purpose of debating. LOL. Probably won't work. Philosophy is the search for truth in life. Remember, anything not proven to be true is an opinion, or a belief. Philosophy is to help find truth in beliefs. Good luck on your philosphy debate. And everything else. Have a great senior year!

If you know your periods schedule, Start a regimen of 2 Ibuprofen every 4 to 6 hours ...a day or two before your period starts..
This helps PREVENTS cramps.
If you already started your period and have major cramps to TREAT CRAMPS-: take a first dose of 3 Ibuprofen (should feel better in 30 or less minutes) and then in 4-6 continue regimen of 2 Ibuprofen evry 4-6 hours till period is over.

Trust me sweetie, I've been there before and I used to cry for 3 days straight when iI had my period. Finally my doc put me on the birth control pill to ease the pain, and I haven't had a cramp in years!! In addition, my period is lighter and so much shorter. I dont even remember what cramps feel like, lol. Ask your mom/doctor about it and see if they can give it to you... It truely changed my life.. If not, atleast call the doc to see if he can give you some stronger pain killers such as tylenol with codeine. Thats all that would work for me... Good luck hun!!!

I think it depends on the person what works better. I prefer Advil ( ibuprofen) but I know that it does not work for everyone. Try putting a heating pad on your abdomen as well. Another thing I do when mine get really bad is to take a hot bath.

I don't believe in taking pills for pain, I love pain. If you have pain you know your still alive. But, I do put a hot wash cloth on my uteris. Actually I smoke and drink as much coffee before, during, and after my period (dot). I get cramps after I'm off my dot.

Something with NSAIDs usually works best, try Ibuprofen or Neproxen (think Motrin or Aleve).
Also, heating pads usually help a lot.
You could also try mild execrise or a warm bath.

Ibuprofen works best for me. Other people swear by Midol or Pamprin.
Also..... do a few sit-ups.... light.... easy..... don't push beyond what you can do fairly comfortably.
Believe it or not, that will help. You relax the uterine muscle tissue when you do light exercises even when you don't feel like it.
Best Wishes,
Sue
