Yes, and they give them to the next guy, completely unsuspecting that those contacts were in a dead man's eye.

And on a side note, they used to put pennies on peoples eyes to keep them from popping open.
Now they use glue.

I'm gonna guess yes they take them out due to that all the fluid in your body dries up and the contacts would dry up and roll up. But that is just my guess.

Well I would say yes, since I know that they remove dentures when you die and you go completely naked to the funeral home. I would imagine that the same thing would be true for contacts.

when they pull the skin back from your face for the autopsy the contacts tend to pop out

I would think they would pop out on their own when they dried out. Good question..I wouldn't of thought of asking that one.
