Most of the places where I've gotten FREE mp3s were horrible... the quality sucked and there was always the chance you'd get a virus. The best site I've found is

http://www.allofmp3.com

It's a Russian site, and while you DO pay for songs they are incredibly cheap. We're talking 2 dollars for an entire NEW CD.

They are totally legit, too. I've been a member for almost a year and a half, and I've successfully downloaded over $300 worth of Cd's. (the REAL cost would have been closer to $9000 if I had purchased them all in stores).

There's a big argument between Russia and the USA about this site, but as long as you pick out your Cd's then put your cash in, you won't lose any if they close it down. Currently, however, it's still free.

And it's in English too.

Check it out, you'll like it. I'm addicted!

check out the source below to find a way to use google to find music. you can also use a peer to peer file sharing program such as limewire (limewire.com) which is probably the best way to go.

Go to morpheus. They have the best search engine on songs that I have ever seen. Limewire is ab bit slower.
