You didn't get a Paris Hilton CD.
No one could possibly be dumb enough to give that to anyone as a gift..

Not any. If I tell the person who gave it that it's the wrong size that's okay. If I know they can't swap it then I don't say a thing. Stuff that I really cannot use or stand I keep for about 6 months and then give it to a charity resale store.
I want to honor the fact that the giver went to a lot of effort to give me this. I can't trade that for money or a style I prefer.
Gift giving has just gotten out of hand. Not the commercialism of the stores but the greedy attitude that we expect to get something. I gave some donations to charities in friends names and the honoree/recipients were very pleased with them. No worry about size and taste. Just positive feelings.

just clothes that i got (other than the jacket) i got it from my godmother but she always gets my size wrong!!! (and we have different tastes!)
i can understand you returning fruitcakes but what store would take them back?! i am sure they are glad to be rid of them! (fruitcakes are disguisting!!) and even though i am not too crazy about paris hilton i actually like some of her songs!! (suprising i know!) but at least you will get something you really like!

5 fruitcakes, that's aweful, what's wrong with ppl ... and Paris Hilton. I am not returning anything, I like my bottles of wine and my computer desk from my mom :-)

None..I guess I can always use another photo frame and the perfrume I am allergic to..will always look good as decor on the counter in the spare bathroom.

I got gift cards and sets of tools for Christmas. I love my tools sets so they are not leaving my sight.
As for the gift cards I can only hope I use them before I misplace them. LOL
