New cellphone for Christmas, and now I need to worry about ringtones. The model I have comes with four (terrible) tones, so I need to find a place to find a new one.

My old phone had many simple polyphonic ringtones. My favorites were the ones that were not songs. They were ring /tones./ Things like 'happy cricket' and 'europhone.'

Is there a safe, secure place to find these sort of tones on the internet? Or am I stuck with tacky song clips and animal noises?

I apologize for asking yet another ringtone question. There seem to be quite a few tonight.

Hopefully mine is specific enough to escape deletion.

Also, I'm not concerned about price as long as payment is secure. I don;t plan on buying more than one or two.

these are as
www.mobango.com
www.nokiaforums.com
www.coolgooose.com, these are places which gives u free user made and good rings or ringtones from movies.also if u have latest phone, that can support mp3 as a ring tone then problem is solved.

3gforfree.com, must access it from your phone's browser for it to be free, if you do it by pc, there's a fee... It does inform you that it's not a trusted site before you download the actual song and do you want to continue (with Sprint anyway) I always tell it yes and no probs so far, after more than 30 ringtones. There are a variety of cell companies that it supports, I know for sure Sprint and Tmobile, but I think others too, check it out.. BTW, I'm dl'ing realtones, but they have a much broader selection of poly tones... Lucky you, new phone for Xmas! Musta been good! Good Luck w/your phone

Yea I like regular phone tones too. I think music ringers are very obnoxious. Judging by the names of the ringtones you listed, you had a Kyocera phone. I am good like that! =)

I wouldn't get any ringtone from a website that is not through your carrier. 1: they can f*** up your phone by making it jam up and run slow. 2: they can add surprise charges to your bill.
