An iPod is an MP3 player. You can import MP3's and play them as music on the iPod. There are other MP3 players as well, such as the new Zune or iRiver. If you're in the market, you can just search it, a lot of research has been done on what's different between all of them.

An iPod is a type of MP3, but while every other music player has many different programs that can be used to put music on it, the iPod can only be synced with iTunes. The iPod has many other features then most regular MP3's and come in larger sizes espically the 80 Gig iPod Video. Who will ever listen to 20,000 songs! iPods are one of the top ten electronic toys of the year.

An mp3 is just an mp3. the ipod is a mp3 but is better, easier to put songs on it and is just a brand of an mp3.

the difference is a ipod has to buy it's downloads not like the mp3/mp3 you just load them from your pc

iPod is a brand name from Apple, while MP3 a filename (extention) is.

You put MP3 (files) on your iPod which is a MP3 player.

i think the ipod they want you to purchase music online but you can put your owm mp3s on the ipod my buddie has one and plugs it into his computer and it automatically downloads to the ipod

They are the same, except I think Ipod is much better personally. They have so many more acessories for Ipod and they are not too expensive.
