I am a convert, married for 7 years. In between, i left my husband and stay with my mum for two year and ignored him for many years due to family violence. He is a very abusive man. Not sure why i never divorce him at that point of time. I think is becauuse I still love him, but I can't face his abusiveness.
Now he is openly having an affairs with a much younger woman, isn't that what i used to prayed for that he found another woman and he can leave me? But i found myself still love him very much, I am not sure, as a Muslim, I shd try to please him til he turn back to the religious path, or shd I just leave ...

I would never advise anyone to leave their spouse but abusive relationships are dangerous. I suppose prayer is the better choice.

You should a seek a divorce and forget about him. He hurt you, and chances are he will never change. Take the chance now to be finally free of him.
If he has threatened you or told you that he will come after you for seeking a divorce, report him to the police, get a restraining order, seek help from battered women's organizations.
I am not Muslim. I just think that no woman should be abused or threatened by any man.

When you were getting married and about to convert you must be aware that as a muslim your husband can have many wives. suppose he has 3 women with him, what you can do? what you are saying that u are in love with him is only jealousy for the other women with him. see u have a choice either live with more competive wives of your husband and wait for your turn or leave him for a better life. It depends if you have any self respect. better late then never

I am definitely not in position to give a fatwa, but I can give my opinion. Divorce him. Do not let "love" make you go back to an abuser. I have been in your situation, and these man do not change. Divorce him, and pray Allah give you a good husband.

first off all...Get a divorce. If he is violent towards you, then its a good thing you left, because he could have killed you. he obviously doesn't care about your well being, or anything to do with you...all he cares about is control. do yourself a favor and divorce him...don't let him intimidate you into staying married to him. you deserve so much better than that. stand your ground, and leave him...no one should ever abuse someone they love, and no one should ever have to take that abuse, whether its physical, verbal, or mental. goodluck, and take care.

Don't take his crap no more - Don't confuse being a Muslim that you have to cower in a corner and take it. I'm Muslim convert myself and trust me an Arab woman would have kicked his butt to the curb by now.

You left himself because of abusive, he move on. He is probably abusing her now. Be glad you are free and have a reason to divorce him.

do you be attentive to why Islam grew so quickly whilst it began? They took their military from city to city, whilst they conquered the city they destroyed the worship places in the city and replace those Gods with Allah. they suspect in no longer destroying human beings, yet in struggling with till they wreck the gods of the persons. each and every faith that has had a God that strikes with them has brought about lots bloodshed. So this makes me think of that he ignores area of background. nonetheless i could wish that what he says now could be actual now.
