what mp3 player is it and what program (if any) are you using to transfer the files?

its hard to give specific instructions without knowing exactly what you are using. ill check back if you add more details and ill help you through it.

EDIT: ok so its maybe a ilo, but what program are you using to transfer the music.

Download another music player, like Rhapsody, since your media player is messed up. Then, copy all of your music that you want on your mp3 player onto the computer. Plug the usb connector into the mp3 player and into the computer (there is a plug for it on the back of the modem) Then on whatever music player you use, click Transfer or Copy music to device, etc, and there ya go.

Is it an iPod?
Then download iTunes if you don't already have it and plug your iPod into the back of the computer....uh....I think it would be with a USB cable that probably would come with the iPod...after that I have no clue but it should be very simple, just try looking over the instructions again.

There are some mp3 players that don't work with iTunes, if you have one of them then I guess you could download Limewire or look up another mp3 download program..

Oh and you must buy the songs if you have iTunes..
and if you have another program then it depends..LimeWire is pretty much the king of illegal downloads so its all free.

plug in your mp3 go to your widows explorer (right-click on start and then select "explore") then find where your music is saved and then just copy paste your song from there to your mp3. Good luck
