I am of white race and i think that people of black races and white races over use the n word because they think that it makes them cool or something but maybe i am getting it wrong. All i know is that the word is being misused for people in the slave trade and i think that that is completley wrong!!! I just want to know some opinions on it.

I agree with you. I honestly don't understand why people sling the word around like nothing. It's wrong no matter what race use it, no matter how it's spelled, or what context it's used.
It's sad because nowadays girls go around calling friends b**** and w**** and guys call each others innumerable things. Races use derogatory names towards their own race and other races. Like, I actually know white persons who call other white persons "crackers."
It's pathetic how we have to resort to unnecessary foul language to make ourselves feel better about ourselves or to make ourselves look cool.

I agree that many within the white race use it to be hateful and at times think it is cool. The black race use it as part of slang. And yes, I feel the word should not be used at all because of the history and meaning of the word. I personally do not use the word and I am very offended to hear others use it. There are many words in the English language that I find "ugly" and N***** is definitely one of them! I'd never call anyone that and I hate to hear other people use it! I don't know if people use it because they think it makes them cool. I think that they use it because they're ignorant and uneducated.

Unless it's in a rap song or people who call themselves friends (let me state right now this is not something that I agree to), the word is used to hurt. When someone spew that word out of their month in a derogatory manner it is done to hurt, cut, and degrade.

******* call themselves ******* because they know that is exactly what they are. As far as my use of it. Its a family tradition passed down to me from when my great grandfather and his fathers before him used to own them. I inherit it proudly and will give it to my son when he is the right age.
