if you can, can you recommend a good movie like that has fantasty like lord of the rings but not lord of the rings thanks

Whew. I am partial to "Cars" from Disney Pixar for a couple of reasons:
1) I'm a car guy and loved the sublte humor directed at me.
2) I'm a tech geek and was way impressed by the CGI, especially the scenes with racing or the neon lights reflected in metal.
3) The voice talents were really well done to convet character,
4) I'm a dad and it is a good family film with a nice message.
5) I love old roads, and respect the history of RT 66, which this movie played up.
As for fantasy, here's a short list:
1) Labyrinth: interesting flick with David Bowie in a very good role.
2) Legend: Tom Cruise as a fnatays hero figure. Before Top Gun.
3) Chronicles of Narnia: enough said.
4) LadyHawke: Rutger Hauer and some actress as lovers cursed to shapeshift opposite one another.
5) Willow: Short people kick **** before LOTR.

I am a LOTR freak... any other fantasy movie to me seems like a copy cat. I sugest though yuo go out and watch Eragon it is a very good movie... kind of like LOTR. If you dont want to do that i sugest you rent the movie Princess Mononoke. This story is a very long touching story abou t a warrior and saving a village. It is a very good movie!

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, it was made out of the book by Tennessee Williams. And, can't recommend any movies that are fantasy, because I don't usually like them.

I don't have just one favorite movie. I love Notting Hill, Tombstone & Sling Blade. But, you have to love the classics like Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Pretty Woman, & Top Gun! I don't usually watch fantasy movies, but Chronicles of Narnia was great!

Just watch Mirror Mask it's like a really weird eerie..fantasy movie. YOu might like it. Enjoy!

i will have to say some of my favorites are sin city, a clockwork orange, lord of war. good movies
